Connecting a ReplayTV DVR to a DSL modem is the same as connecting it to a Cable modem with a few exceptions. Follow the directions for connecting your ReplayTV DVR to your Cable modem with these additions.

1. The DSL modem you own might be a DSL router. If you’re not sure, please contact your ISP or DSL modem provider. If it’s a router, it can automatically assign an IP address to your ReplayTV DVR.
2. If you have PPPoE DSL (You have to login via software before you can access the Internet), you cannot connect your ReplayTV DVR directly to your DSL modem unless it’s also a router. PPPoE accounts require that the user login with a username and password. Software is normally provided for your Macintosh or PC to do this. If you purchase a router to use with your PPPoE account, verify that it supports PPPoE.
