Answer:
- Your ReplayTV DVR performs a maintenance check on its hard drive for any incomplete Channel Guide or Software updates and completes it.
- Your ReplayTV DVR issues a DNS before contacting the ReplayTV servers.
- After the initial contact, it then checks the time on the time server.
- It then registers its IP address and port # on the Internt Video Sharing servers.
- It checks for new Channel Guide data.
- It downloads any new Channel Guide data.
- It checks for new Zones data.
- It downloads any new Zones data.
- It checks for new Software.
- It downloads any new Software.
- If new software is downloaded, it restarts in 2 minutes and assimilates the new software
